Administrators’ Network
The LESNW administrators’ network gathered on Thursday July 4th, for a day of invaluable connection and learning. The event was a chance for our administrators to come together, share experiences, engage in professional development and deepen their understanding of what it means to participate, work and flourish in a Lutheran education community.
The day began with an engaging session led by Mignon Weckert, LESNW Educational Leadership Director. The group explored Growing Deep and Compassionate Systems, interacting with resources such as the Wheel of Emotion, the Ladder of Connectedness, and Stock and Flow. A phrase that particularly resonated with the group was ‘well-being is a skill set’, highlighting the importance of developing and nurturing well-being.
In the afternoon, the network had the opportunity to engage in dedicated networking sessions, forming smaller focus groups tailored to their specific roles and interests. This structure fostered meaningful conversations and allowed for more targeted discussions on the challenges and opportunities within their respective areas.
The day concluded with a practical training session led by PD Training (PDT). This session focused on dealing with difficult people, the group explored personality types and communication styles. Discovering the do’s and don’ts of communication with each personality type and developing strategies for future communications with differing personality types.
The next administrators’ network meeting will be held online on Wednesday, August 28th. Registrations can be made here.
