Welcome Back and Forward

I hope you had time over the Christmas and New Year break to find some time to rest, relax and refresh, and in particular, connect with the important people in your lives. And I extend my best wishes to you all as the continue the important work of leading our learning communities and the stories they share about learning, life, community and God.

There is something about the beginning of the school year that brings a mixture of excitement, anticipation and perhaps some apprehension. I believe this is especially the case for those staff, students and families who are about to begin their journey within our learning communities, and I recognise the significant role leaders play in providing care, support and guidance in this transition.

I wish to extend a special welcome to those leaders who begin their journey, either at a new location or as a first experience as a principal or director, and those who are either continuing or undertaking acting roles:

Darren Altus – Good Shepherd Lutheran Primary School, Angaston
Paul Bannister – Concordia College (Junior School), Highgate
Petrea Booth – St Jakobi Lutheran School, Lyndoch
Sam McCarthy – Waikerie Lutheran Primary School (Acting), Waikerie
Penny McKenzie – Concordia College (Senior School), Highgate

Chelsea Rodda – St Martin’s Lutheran Kindergarten, Mount Gambier
Evie Stevens – Good Shepherd Lutheran School, Para Vista

(Matthew 13: 10-12;34-35)
