The Dance of Change at Immanuel Primary School
Last week, the Immanuel Primary, Novar Gardens, leadership team explored the concept of instead of saying “what are we trying to change?” to “what are we trying to grow?”
Throughout this year the team have been growing their inner leadership capabilities, from Growing Deep as well as outer leadership goals related to the school’s core foundations.
The leaders used the model “The Dance of Change” to identify growing actions, which become reinforcing, as well as awareness of limiting action and constraints which have an impact on growth.
It was inspiring to observe the team engaging in deep listening and reflection as colleagues shared their ideas, viewing the individual areas of growth not as ‘silos’ or ‘my work’ but as part of an interconnected whole.
