Strengthening Early Years Education in Lutheran Schools
In August 2024, the Regional Office commissioned Barbara Murray to lead a research project, Optimising the Delivery of Early Years Education and Care in Lutheran Schools. This project explored emerging trends in early childhood services across South Australia, the Northern Territory, and Western Australia, assessing how our existing services; kindergarten, childcare, early learning, and out-of-school-hours care (OSHC) align with these trends.
Through site visits, surveys, and market analysis, the research identified opportunities to enhance service delivery and ensure the sustainability of early years education. The final report provided key insights and strategic recommendations.
As part of the research project brief, in late January, the Regional Office Executive Team Barb led a workshop to unpack the findings and to develop key initiatives for action. On 17 February, the report will be tabled at the LESNW Board meeting, with a view to review the recommendations and endorse the next steps.
The key findings will soon be shared with our learning communities, guiding future strategies to enhance early years education and support long-term growth.
