The Nine Network’s lifestyle program, hello SA, produced a feature story about Lobethal Lutheran School’s award-winning Beyond Outdoor Program.
 
LLS’s Beyond Outdoor Program ignites the joy of learning with hands-on experiences from whittling to fire-making. The special connection to environment develops resilient, happy learners who are ready to collaborate and take on challenges both outside and inside the classroom.
 
The program integrates a comprehensive emotional literacy curriculum with forest skills training. Through five key dispositions and seven core forest skills, LLS guides learners in developing emotional literacy and practical abilities in an authentic, real-world context.
 
The key dispositions are:

5. stewardship.
 
The core forest skills are:
1. woodwork
