Introduction to Education Leader, Renee Wehner

As previously communicated, Sue Kupke will be undertaking the Lutheran Education Australia (LEA) position of Director of Formation, and we wish Sue every blessing and success in her new role. As a result, I was lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to undertake the Education Leader position for 2024, working with Mignon Weckert, Andrew Bradtke and Stuart Traeger and I am so excited! 

I have worked in Lutheran education for 20 years, having held various classroom and leadership roles. I recently served as the Learning and Teaching Leader (Teacher Quality) at Calvary Lutheran Primary School. In this role, I demonstrated expertise in initiating and leading curriculum and pedagogical improvements and have a proven track record in collaborating with school leadership and external agencies. I was a writer for the revisioning of Lutheran Education Australia’s A vision for learners and learning (Free to Flourish) and was engaged by LEA for Term 4 last year to oversee the publication and distribution of Free to Flourish. My passion lies in supporting and empowering educators, and I am excited about working with our Christian Studies leaders and teachers.
