Inaugural Ministry Personnel Workshop and Accreditation
25 ministry personnel attended the inaugural Ministry Personnel Workshop and Accreditation on 13-15 March. Participants ranged from congregation pastors, newly appointed school chaplains, as well as a number of long serving chaplains. They came from as far as Darwin, Mt Gambier and Warnbro, WA. Over the three days there was ample opportunity for theological and practical discussions, collegial networking and personal reflection. Participants now have the opportunity to reflect on their learning with their principal and a regional representative, with the aim of planning for further professional growth.
Feedback comments included:
- As a new person to LEA getting to grips with all the terminology/various depts/policies/documentation. There were practical things I can take back into my community, and has put things in a new perspective.
- Having the reflection questions allowed time to stop and think more about what stood out in the sessions, and provided a time to consolidate thoughts. Also, the opportunities to mix with other people in a similar position as me.
- Thanks for a wonderful workshop. A lot of careful thought went into this, and the result was fantastic! Thanks so much!
