Governance Corner

Progress continues on the LESNW Strategic Intentions for the coming years, thanks to your valuable feedback and the incredible work and commitment of the regional team. Once we have an initial draft of the strategic intentions we want to be able to share it with you to ensure that it is a fit for purpose plan that will provide the support and resource you need to help realise your goals and plans moving forward. I am thankful for our board and their passion and commitment to LESNW and their desire to see our region continue to thrive. I hope to provide an update for you at our AGM in May on the progress of the plan.
I am also fortunate to be part of a local learning community board in my region (Barossa Valley) and see first hand the positive influence and dedication our learning community leaders and teachers provide in providing our families and children an excellent learning environment coupled with the love and compassion of a Christ centred community. I strongly believe that this is a great point of difference we all have in the education space.

It is pleasing to know that our association is continuing to perform strongly and are forward thinking and forward focussed in identifying not just growth opportunities where Lutheran education and the love of Jesus can be experienced in a wider footprint, but also how we can work better together, to tap into our existing resources, leverage from our combined experience and collaborate to provide the best outcomes for students.

The apostle Paul says it far better than I ever could:

“This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. Andin their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” (2 Cor 9:12-15)

May you have a blessed Easter weekend and appreciate the great gift God has given us all.

Yours in His service

Paul Bert
