Empathy to Impact: a shared learning journey
Earlier this month, more than 40 educators from LESNW and LEVNT came together to participate in the Empathy to Impact workshop, facilitated by Inspire Citizens.
This hands-on professional learning experience invited participants to explore unit planning through the Empathy to Impact framework – deeply aligned with the attributes of Free to Flourish – cultivating learners who are compassionate, relational, purposeful and adventurous.
Across the workshop, educators worked collaboratively to design meaningful, globally connected units of work, engaging in co‑creation, feedback and professional dialogue with colleagues from a range of contexts. Participants left with practical, ready-to-go plans they could take back into their learning communities, as well as a renewed perspective shaped by learning alongside others across the network.
This workshop forms part of an ongoing partnership with Inspire Citizens and is now in its second year. A further Empathy to Impact workshop is planned for June, with details available via the LESNW Events page.
