Encounter Lutheran College Leadership Forum

The Encounter Leadership Forum (ELF) consists of a group of 12-20 members of Encounter Lutheran College’s teaching team, who are interested and emerging leaders. The ELF meets twice a term to learn about various elements of leadership, including such things as community building and industrial relations.

Last week the ELF came together to learn about governance. In the company of Principal, Kelvin Grivell, and Head of Junior School, Tori Weiss, the ELF took a deep dive into the difference between the role of the board and the role of the principal. They considered the black and white of governance, as well as where the lines can get blurred. This eager group of interested and emerging leaders posed thoughtful questions that required an assessment of their local constitution, as well as State and Commonwealth legislation.
