Flourishing Futures Update

There are 14 committed and passionate teams working across learning communities in LESNW and LEVNT to bring to life strategic change that is aligned with Free to Flourish. Teams gathered in person for two days at the end of February for a deep dive into problem-finding and categorising, solution ideation and intentional change-focused leadership, hosted by Louka Parry and Anne Knock from The Learning Future.

Across Term 2, those teams have met for online sessions hosted by Louka Parry, where he has focused on change implementation. Teams have also met for sessions with me, focusing on boosting project implementation through stages of feeling stuck or roadblocked. In these sessions, we have focused on progress made and what next steps look like.

The projects that learning communities are focused on are exciting as the teams grapple with how to bring their strategic intent to life through learner profiles, teaching and learning philosophies, Christian Studies in the Early Years, teaching and learning frameworks, student leadership models and human-centred learning opportunities for students.

Throughout Term 3, the project boost sessions with me will continue. We will engage in our final online session with Louka Parry and work towards a project sharing day on Monday 7 September, where all teams will come together to share their story of progress across this year and their plans for 2027 and beyond.

We are grateful for the sponsorship of LLL in supporting teams to participate in this Flourishing Futures project.
