CSCF Review Update
We are excited to update you on the progress in Term 1 on the revision and redesign of the Christian Studies Curriculum Framework (CSCF).
A Christian Studies Curriculum Design and Writing Group (CSCD&WG) has been building on the foundational, inspired work of the 2024 Reference and Focus Groups. This group is pulling together the work from 2024, ensuring that the new curriculum is biblically grounded, theologically sound, and pedagogically effective.
Next Steps (2025)
Moving into 2025, the Christian Studies Curriculum Design and Writing Group will further refine and consolidate the curriculum structure. This phase is anticipated to involve:
✅ Revision of strands, descriptors, and achievement standards to ensure clarity and progression across year levels.
✅ Ongoing collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the curriculum is future-focused and relevant learning for our communities.
✅ A Christian Studies Review Team (CSRT) will be appointed to evaluate and enhance the work of the CSCD&WG.
The Christian Studies Review Team will evaluate all aspects of the new curriculum, suggesting revisions and further considerations. This work is expected to continue throughout 2025.
The priority for 2025 is the curriculum for Foundation through to Year 10. Early Years and Years 11 and 12 will be the focus in 2026.
Pilot and Implementation Timeline (2026-2028)
📌 2026-2027: Piloting in selected learning communities to validate clarity, usability, and alignment with learner needs.
📌 2028: Full implementation, ensuring a phased, sustainable rollout that supports teacher readiness and system-wide adoption.
As we progress, we encourage our learning communities to continue engaging with the existing CSCF.
Thank you for your continued commitment to a faithful, rigorous, and inspiring Christian Studies curriculum.
