Resources for Schools: The Upcoming Social Media Age Restrictions

From 10 December 2025, new online safety laws will require social media platforms to take reasonable steps to prevent under-16s from creating or maintaining accounts. While schools are not responsible for these changes, they are likely to be looked to for guidance and support—and can expect shifts in behaviour, expectations, and parent engagement.
