Bower(schools) Update

Bower(schools) has greatly enjoyed working closely with our Lutheran schools throughout this year.

Having recently returned from ACLE7, we felt privileged to connect with so many wonderful school and church communities from across Australia. What an inspiring and uplifting experience it was! Lisa and I were honoured to participate in the daily worship sessions, listen to an incredible lineup of speakers, and share in the joy of the conference dinner. Here are a few photos capturing some special moments from our time with you all.

We also recently had the pleasure of visiting St Martin’s Lutheran College in Mount Gambier, where Lisa and Paula delivered our bower(note) leadership training. It was a full and engaging day of learning, sharing, and laughter. The St Martin’s leadership team’s commitment and participation throughout the day were outstanding.

A big thank you to Alan Connah and Celia Mara for inviting us to work alongside you — you truly lead an incredible team of Lutheran leaders.

Next month, we’re heading up to the Northern Territory, where Good Shepherd in Darwin will be hosting a full day of training for leadership teams travelling from Alice Springs and the Tiwi Islands. We’re really looking forward to working alongside them as they navigate the unique opportunities and challenges within their diverse communities. Thank you, Matthew Qualifschesfki, for hosting this event at your school.

At the end of term, we’ll be travelling to Loxton to deliver our 10-week Systemic Practice for Schools program condensed into two daysMonday 15 and Tuesday 16 December. We’re excited to connect with staff from Loxton Lutheran. A special thank you to Brad Williams and the Loxton Lutheran community for generously hosting us.

In 2026, we look forward to visiting our Lutheran Sister Schools in Melbourne and Cairns. As you begin planning for the year ahead, please don’t hesitate to contact Lisa or Paula. Complexities will always arise within our school communities; however, having clear protocols in place to navigate those moments can make all the difference—helping you regain clarity and strengthen your community’s wellbeing.
