Intro to Governance in LESNW & LEVNT

For those who:

• are new to a LESNW or LEVNT board
• are not new to a board, but are seeking a ‘governance refresher’
• attend board meetings in an ex-officio capacity
• would like to meet and engage with others who serve on LESNW and LEVNT boards
• are curious

The session will cover:

• what governance is and what it isn’t
• governance standards, principles, mindsets and behaviours
• what makes an effective board member
• common boardroom mistakes
• the importance of local context and knowledge
• the structural relationship between learning communities and other Lutheran entities
• avenues for future self-guided learning

This 2-hour session is available on three occasions. Participants need register for one date only. A Teams link will be provided upon registration.
